Material Plan uses the approved Sales Order demand snapshot: Product, Product Type, selected Variant, quantity, UOM and Product specifications.

The current Validated or Active / Planning Ready Product BOM is loaded automatically. Variant-linked breakup rules resolve against the exact Sales Order Product Variant. Product Configuration remains the default route authority, while Production Planning assigns materials to actual manufacturing processes.

The requirement cards show Current Gross, Previously Authorized, Change and This Amendment; only the new positive amendment quantity continues to stock and purchase allocation.

Plan the required state, but choose how to supply it.

Required-state stock is production-ready immediately. If another eligible Company-Owned state can be converted through a valid Raw Material route, choose how much final-state coverage to obtain from that stock. Centrio calculates the required input quantity and places a separate Processing Input Hold on the exact stock-balance sources. That hold prevents double planning, but it is never treated as ready stock or Material-Issue authority. Any remaining shortage can be purchased in a permitted procurement state, with PWO input quantity calculated separately from expected final-state coverage.

Initial release creates the original material authority. After release, every Sales Order change or approved Extra Material request becomes a separate amendment. Eligibility: Company-Owned General stock is reusable and Order-Specific stock remains restricted to its Sales Order. Customer-Owned stock is stricter: Buyer + Owner Sales Order must match this Material Plan and the stock must carry a posted Customer Material Receipt reference.

Allocation rule: Reserve only the quantity shown as available for each source. Company-Owned selections must equal Plan Company Stock and Customer-Owned selections must equal Plan Customer Supply. Purchase is handled separately.
